Down syndrome is known as Trisomy 21. Trisomy 21 is the most common type of Ds caused by an extra (third) copy of the 21st chromosome. In essence, a person with Trisomy 21 has three 21st chromosomes (3 – 21).
321 miles is just the right number for our journey. We want to honor as many individuals as we can – if we did 3.21 miles or 32.1 miles, we wouldn’t be able to make as big of an impact! We are really hoping to create change in the world!
